Recap: Perception can be a little blinding. With Jakkboy Maine readily dominating both the 1st and 3rd rounds, one can easily come off thinking that (as he did in his recap, where he even talked about retiring) this battle versus Nunn Nunn was a lopsided affair. But it really wasn’t, especially seeing as a more consistent and punch-heavy Nunn surely took the 2nd and wasn’t too shabby with his bars and schemes in the other rounds. But putting aside a solid mid round, a performance rich Jakkboy Maine was just stellar here, dishing richly potent name flips with ease, shooting up his opponent with the stinging gun bars, serving up righteous heat with epic punchlines and for the coup-de-grace, a sizzling Little Richie ‘A-Wop-bop-a-loo-lop a-lop-bam-boo!’ punch that not only brought the house down in the 3rd, but solidified Jakk’s victory.
Verdict: Jakkboy Maine (W) 2-1
