Recap: Crazy, dope and punchline-lit battle between Chilla Jones and Nu Jerzey Twork sees NJT display why when he’s focused, so many of his peers feel he’s one of the best in the game. Indeed, during the 1st and 3rd rounds, Twork just spouted haymaker after haymaker with near-flawless execution not only using Chilla’s own slogans against him but also a boatload of stirring/witty anecdotes, head-twisting punches, fierce name flips, some stellar wordplay, fiending personals and raucous gun bars to take the 1st and edge the 3rd over an aggressive opponent who after a so-so (for him, anyway) 1st round, stepped up in both of the latter rounds (got Jones edging the 2nd round) with a wide load of deft schemes, some well-aimed heat of his own, piercing punchlines and rigid personals. Altogether, a superb bout with Twork earning the win.
Verdict: Nu Jerzey Twork (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Nu Jerzey Twork – “You figured you could go over with them white people and go on a rampage, here go somebody else makin’ it all about you, that’s a fan page, we do shit only niggas can Chill, that’s a man cave!”
