Recap: In his first return to battle rap after getting the Covid, Don Marino impresses all the way through his 3 rounds, spouting that Mexican pride but also dishing a boatload of spicy personals (at opponent Marvwon and the host Smack), intense struggle bars, some fiery wordplay and piercing punchlines/gun bars. For the veteran Marvwon, while rarely seen on the URL stage, the Detroit vet’s often-witty punch-game kept things competitive and was sublime at times, but an overall topsy-turvy showing along with Don’s comeuppance here would still give Marino the shutout.
