Recap: A bit lengthy, but still gritty 1-rounder here from Organyzed Cryme Battle League between an always game Cortez and a performance-stunting and witty at times Sunny Red features a plethora of graphic mayhem, boastful barbs and raucous punches from both battlers. However, even with an almost equal amount of haymakers on each end, it’s a more condensed Cortez, extra fly with the name flips, a little more consistently hard-hitting and able to score too with some deft use of local references, who ends up earning the win.
Verdict: Cortez (W) 1-0
Favorite line: Cortez – “Tell these nigga’s stop before I pop that clip, the blood stains on this Tee, you can’t block that shit, I’m talking street sweepers, a bloody mess, you can’t mop that shit, I just left with bloody shoes, but it’s not my drip!”
