Recap: A URL Kings vs. Queens 3 battle that might have given the hardcore battle rap fan a little wariness what with Jakkboy Maine and First Lady Flamez being a couple in real life (‘Could they really go full throttle on each other considering that they live together?’), Jakk via a gang of hard-hitting punchlines, piercing performance bars and witty/slick personals and Flamez, armed with a bunch of stifling personals, bruising schemes, slick wordplay and gritty set-ups/punches, still managed to put on a dope and competitive show that kept the crowd captivated. Still tho, after a more haymaker-lit Flamez took the opening round, an equally entertaining, punch-lit and aggressive on both sides round 2 made for a debatable. But helped a bit by a still scoring Jakk letting his foot off the pedal bar-wise towards the end of his turn, a turned up, versatile and more consistently brazen Flamez woud handily take the 3rd for the win.
Verdict: First Lady Flamez (W) 2-1
Favoriet line: First Lady Flamez – “Jakk, you got me fucked up, exactly why I’m snapping, single black mom on Christmas, I make a lot happen!”
