Recap: Although we’re pretty certain that the opportunity to receive bigger paychecks played a huge part, give Charron the credit he deserves for coming back to the URL, where in the 4 battles he’s participated in this year alone, he’s had to face much stiffer competition over the course of 4 battles than he probably has during his entire career. That being said, while the Canadian vet’s penchant for fire off-the-dome polemics, killer wit, stellar personals and an often sublime punchline game will always allow him to sit at the top tier table, as witnessed here against Nunn Nunn on the Civil War 2 card, it’s Charron’s knack for longwinded rounds that often gets him in trouble. As after taking round 1 with a versatile, punch-lit, boastful and uber-witty turn that served up an abundance of haymakers and beat back a pretty solid round from his opponent, some pedestrian rebuttals and an inability to consistently match the potency of Nunn Nunn (who was steadily hardbody throughout the battle with a gang of stifling real talk darts, cunning wordplay, gritty punchlines, fiery schemes, hitting personals, spicy race angles and a dope rebuttal in round 3) during a couple of elongated turns, would edge both of the latter rounds to Nunn Nunn and give the Wilson, NC mainstay the biggest win of his battle career.
Verdict: Nunn Nunn (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Nunn Nunn – “Say anythingg that ain’t true and I’m a pause your whole round like J2!”
