Recap: Certainly didn’t expect this KOTD bout between Charron and Cali Smoov to turn into a compliment battle, but at the end there that it did. The two close friends competing hard in the earlier rounds what with Smoov delivering a bunch of gritty punchlines, sturdy street darts and earnest struggle bars, while Charron brought a boatload of off-the-dome wizardry, witty personals, hard-hitting punchlines, fiendish local-isms and piercing name flips. After an equally efficient and debatable round 1 followed by the more haymaker-lit Charron taking round 2 in what was still a close battle, things would get a little teary-eyed and complimentary in the 3rd. Both battlers opening up about their friendship outside the ring, giving each other flowers through a variety of hard times, all the while with the more punch-heavy Charron also taking the final round for the win.
Verdict: Charron (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Charron – “I got Toronto kinfolk that’s really catching cases, there’ll be big smoke when I bring the GTA to Cali like San Andreas!”
