Recap: With all those hard-hitting personals Ill Will was throwing at Ave and his Cave Man clique throughout this dope URL/Born Legacy 8 matchup, one can’t help but wonder if it had any say in the Norfolk, VA, puncher leaving the Cave not too long afterwards. Either way, complete with the type of competitive energy that you’d expect from two of battle rap’s best, after the slightly more condensed, fire gun bar spitting, brazen and witty at ttimes edged the opening round and the consistently boastful and punch-lit Ave took the 2nd, Will’s high battle rap IQ would come to play in the deciding 3rd. The versatile Pontiac, MI, rapper comically exposing Ave’s tendency to be an albeit great, but sometimes repetitive puncher while spouting a versatile round littered with piercing 4-bar set-ups, stinging name flips/personals, some head-ringing wordplay and his own unique brand of aggressive/raucous punchlines to take the 3rd for the win.
