Recap: Outside of slow starts by both battlers in a variety of rounds, Coffee Brown versus 40 B.A.R.R.S. turns out to be a fire battle or better yet, what you’d expect from two top tiers. And it was really, really close too. Coffee, making use of a witty ‘granny’ angle when it came to personals throughout the match, also supplied her usual m.o. of aggressive punches, flippant name flips and bombastic/street-themed darts that made you feel the pain. While 40’s laidback, but slick and effective flow wrecked havoc when it came to dishing out a gang of boastful barbs, fire punchlines, storied wordplay, scandalous personals and gritty name flips. A crazy back-n-forth that was certainly worth the price of admission for all 3 rounds, after a debatable round 1, it’s the slightly more steady hitting and efficiently spicy 40 who edges both of the latter rounds for the win.
Verdict: 40 B.A.R.R.S. (W) 2-1
Favorite line: 40 B.A.R.R.S. – “I’m just saying, if a pic could get a nigga’s dick soft, I’m telling you this bitch shit will, I mean her man is the only nigga that looked at ‘Net flicks [Netflix] and chilled!”
