Recap: From URL, after years of outside chatter and speculation Rum Nitty finally gets his Loaded Lux battle and for the most part it’s a goodie. Lux with a bunch of boastful barbs, righteous darts, a gang of abstract punches that were hit-n-miss, solid name flips and feelgood personals stayed competititve throughout, but was hurt a bit by elongated rounds and some pedestrian/subpar punchlines. Nitty on the other hand stuck to his m.o., delivering a plethora of potent 4-bar set-up/punchlines, mocking personals, nifty wordplay, fly God-themed metaphors and stinging gun lines/name flips. That said, it’s the slightly more haymaker-lit Nitty who would take the opening round, before a more punch-heavy Lux dominated round two to even things up going into round 3. And while the final round was fierce on both sides, after a bit of a slow start it’s the more punch/bar efficient Nitty who comes back and edges the 3rd for the win.
Verdict: Rum Nitty (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Rum Nitty – “Y’all don’t learn, till you at his funeral service crying out the God so hurt, even the pastor gonna be choked up reading Genesis 1…that’s all first verse!”
