Recap: Granted, his 3rd round rebuttal was fire and a shitload of fiery punchlines and personals kept Nunn Nunn in the bout. But a couple of questionable tactical decisions by the North Carolina rapper: two elongated rounds (esp. in the 3rd, where after a blazing start, Nunn was clearly losing steam towards the end) and filler bars spent complaining about getting the likes of Shotgun Suge for your next battle after a tournament in which you did well, but didn’t win (or even make it to the final round) would hurt Nunn in the end, while giving a way more condensed Suge–dope (esp. in round 1) and witty throughout with the ‘white boy/junkie’ themes and also scoring with a gang of spirited name flips and piercing gun bars/punches–a close win.
Verdict: Shotgun Suge (W) 2-1
Favorite line: Shotgun Suge – “God asked me to have a heart…nah, I got one [Nunn] for you!”
