Recap: Long-awaited, much-hyped battle that’s even more enticing when you’ve paying enough attention long enough to know that these two guys, Swamp and Nu Jerzey Twork, really don’t like each other. Too bad for fans tho as even with a highly-billed match as this one, Nu Jerzey Twork fails to hold down his end, showing up unprepared yet again and ‘Jersey’-ing what was a pretty solid round 1 halfway through before choking away the deciding round 3 after dishing an incredible, hardbody 2nd. Meanwhile, while certainly not the best, punch-heavy Swamp we’ve seen, the South Carolina emcee still brought the heat, aggressive as well as getting personal throughout the match and making himself heard with well-executed bars that spoke to Twork’s former(???) Gooonie squad and delivered a talking too when it came to his opponent’s troubles in and outside the battle ring. Add to that some sizzling gun bars, fierce schemes and a spicy punch game, even if he was helped by his opponent’s shortcomings, considering all the drama that took place before this bout happened, for Swamp vengeance still had to be sweet.
Verdict: Swamp (W) 2-1
