Recap: Recruiting festive gun lines, a gang of seismic punchlines (esp. during a sublime 1st round), endearing name flips/personals and a series of moody ‘old head’ bars, a consistently spicy Reepah Rell manages to beat the brakes off a versatile, but flow-challenged (including a 1st round choke) Jey The Nitewing in this Banned battle from URL. Nitewing, who started off with a bang before he fell apart midway during the 1st round and offered up plenty of heat with some roundhouse personals here and there in the 3rd, did manage to put forth a clean and imaginative 2nd to force a debatable turn there. But overall, the West-coast up-n-comer just couldn’t keep up with Rell’s synergy and residual haymakers in the opening and closing rounds.
