GE defeats Logic

Recap: “That shit go together!”, unlike Goodz I don’t mind slogans, it’s all a part of building your brand and ain’t nothing wrong with that. That said, bar-wise this one was close, some might run with Logic on authenticity and reality, but even in person you never underestimate the small guy. So based on overall bars, creativity, schemes and performance I got Logic (who surprisingly stayed away from name flips) edging the 1st round and GE edging the latter two.

Verdict: GE (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Logic – “That clip from the lead will snatch that bitch out the bed like the Conjuring”

Jay Rell defeats Logic

Recap: Logic tried and tried to use personals to invalidate Jay Rell street credibility, and while it was funny at times it got repetitive towards the end. Then too, a delicious combo of nice (“I punched through his right side and knocked left his right side silly, he gonna Ice Cube’s and TLC, he need a Westside connect to keep his Left Eye chilly”) schemes, hot bars and congenial wordplay will beat 3 rounds of one-dimensional angles any day of the week.

Verdict: Jay Rell (W) 3-0

Favorite line: Jay Rell – “Screwdriver to his mouth part have him talking out his neck like a Canadian from South Park”

Ill Will defeats Logic

Recap: Gritty, hard-hitting punches and boastful shiners dominate this 3-round battle between Ill Will  and Logic, a bout that the steadier Will ends up winning as the Pontiac, MI spitter’s righteous personals and adaptable flow patterns helped him to take the opening rounds, before the aggressive and hardbody punchlines of Logic do enough damage to take the 3rd over a solid, oft-free-styling turn by Will.

Verdict: Ill Will (W) 2-1

Favorite line: Ill Will – “Me fucking ya bitch, is no rumor nigger, every time I bless her with my presence [presents] she light up and she get heated…I consume her nigger!”
