Recap: From HowYouGonAct Network, against the oft-witty, drawn-out, unorthodox stylings of O Solo, Danny Myers uses a boatload of graphic gun bars, some dope wordplay, mayhem-lit punchlines and wily personals/name flips to earn the 30 over an opponent who kept it competitive, but struggled too often with his flow and overall punch game.
Verdict: Danny Myers (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Danny Myers – “My pistol ain’t got nowhere to live and I STAY with it!”
Recap: One-rounder from The Trap NY sees D.O.T. use a plethora of performance-stunting/well-styled name flips that combined with some brazen/witty punches/gun bars are enough to beat back the ‘Most Exciting’, but in this case topsy-turvy 1, 2 punches from O-Solo.
Verdict: D.O.T. (W) 1-0
Favorite line: D.O.T. – “But I can’t kill you tho, you my father’s uncle on my mother’s side…fuck it, [BOAW!}, now you my father’s uncle on the other side!’
Recap: Proving his resiliency even against the likes of an O Solo, Dre Dennis uses a fleet of stifling punchlines, rigid name flips and potent gun lines to make mince meat of the witty, unpredictable Jersey stalwart (who outside a pretty solid 2nd round, didn’t have much in the tank) in this 3-rounder from The Trap NY.
Verdict: Dre Dennis (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Dre Dennis – “Ain’t spraying the full clip when I snap at your set, long message from Android to iPhone, you’ll get half of the Tek [texts]!”
Recap: From the hilarious Scooby-Doo performance line to the solid wordplay displayed with the ‘crip’ bar, a way more comfortable in his skin O-Solo uses a load of wit to take rounds 1 and 3 and beat back a Serius Jones who needs to get out of his own way, with all the whining, pontificating, ego-tripping (esp. with that ‘fake Serius Jones’ sketch in the 2nd), and yunno…just rap.
Verdict: O-Solo
Favorite line: O-Solo – “You think you Lord of the Ring?!, bitch you just loitering!”
Synopsis: Certainly O-Solo was always entertaining in Fight Klub and there’s no way one can’t appreciate Arsonal’s dedication to Jersey (even he’s since moved to Louisiana and now Atlanta), but from jumpstreet this had bodybag written all over it and sadly that’s all it ended up being. If anything this is a lesson in leaving whatever little hometown respect your legacy has…to ya hometown.
Verdict: Swave Sevah (W) 3-0
Best line: Swave Sevah – “My nigga I’m a real nigga fam, I attack from a different standpoint, so fuck all these alien sound effects, talk to me in your man voice”
WTF Moment: That gay-ass slap on the back from O-Solo’s hypeman in round 2.
