Recap: If Skelly paid more attention to the bars he writes that actually (“I bet you got a gun so big you couldn’t fit it inside your rental, well I got a gun so small I got it inside the venue”, “You couldn’t give a bitch the ‘D’ with a key to your city”) hit, he might actually study his lines and work on being more consistent in order to uplift what is too often a lukewarm pen game. That being said, easy win for Marvwon here, a more confident flow in addition to way more efficient wordplay and nice performance (“They say that one monkey can’t stop no show, well I guarantee [points gun fingers at Skelly] you that one llama can”) bars to take rounds 1 and 3 along with the dub.

Rosenberg Raw defeats Skelly

Synopsis: Come-from-behind vet Rosenberg Raw does it again taking an ‘L’ in round 1, but stepping up that straight gangsta shit (“You wanna why I said you a bitch? because I said you is”) in the latter rounds to clearly take the win in his 1st KOTD appearance.

Daylyt defeats Skelly

Recap: Despite failing to impress the dude with the Flyers sweater on (I don’t think he broke his poker face once during the entire battle), this was still a decent battle between Skelly and Daylyt. Skelly stepping it up with aggressive bars and Daylyt taking a battle seriously with witty bars and comedic (“I wet backs, Pablo!”)
personals. Close throughout, but the guy with the mask wins it due to more variety with is bars.

Verdict: Daylyt (W) 2-1

Passwurdz and Skelly [DEBATABLE]

Recap: From KOTD, after the two split the first couple of rounds (Passwurdz taking the 1st before Skeely took round 2), Passwurdz’s flow-istic punchlines and his opponent’s pointed, hardbody stylings/personals (“And I heard that bitch you got in Oakland will let the whole block bang, she be giving more neck than a King of the Dot chain!”) equate with enough heat in the deciding 3rd to make this one a draw.

Verdict: TIE

Favorite line: Passwurdz – “You bring a fat, black girl to every battle that you have and I think that’s just Precious!”
