Recap: 1-round Red Bull EmSee freestyle battle between Yung ZM and DNA goes the latter’s way as while ZM dished a solid roudn of gritty burners, the more eclectic and rebuttal-friendly DNA edges things in the end.
Verdict: DNA (W) 1-0
Favorite line: DNA – “You know I’m gonna pop shit after being at the your bitch house, ‘cuz I’m the locksmith!”
Synopsis: Not quite a body as Z.M. definitely had his moments, but Syahboy’s consistent display of elite punchlines, performance and set-ups (“Put a big X on ya head like tight ends on Madden”) put this one away with the quickness.
Verdict: Syahboy (W) 3-0
Favorite line: Z.M. – “I will run up in your son’s special needs class and sing to him like ‘Ya jawbone’s connected to my kneecap!'”
Synopsis: Z.M. does a great Soul Khan impression and that “wet bandits” punchline was hilarious, but Soul Khan just had too many wicked bars, personals and fat jokes (“I got the words primed to detonate and serve fry this heavyweight, how you gonna clown me when your shirt size is escalade?’) for him to stand a chance.
Verdict: Soul Khan (W) 3-0
Best line: Soul Khan – “…and your stretch marks look like the barcode on your favorite SMACK tape”
OT
Synopsis: Swave got off to a hot start (“You might have a chance at winning if this was a pie-eating contest”), but lost momentum in the latter rounds leading to an OT that he clearly wasn’t prepared for.
Verdict: Yung ZM (W) OT
Favorite line: Yung Z.M. – “Bitch, you so dark it look like you stood outside for two summers…”
